Snowy Day

Ok, I know that this is my third post of the day but I have lots to talk about :)
Yesterday afternoon it snowed in Hurricane! The kids at school were in Heaven. I hurried to pick up the little boys from the babysitters because I wanted to get cute pictures of them of playing in the snow but the only problem was when we go closer to home the snow was not sticking on the ground. So, I didn't get any cute pictures until this morning. These are at my school at about 7 a.m. The snow stuck around until about noon. It was a cold, cold day! The picture on the right is of Luke walking on a puddle of ice. He actually got in trouble later on during the day because he was playing on the ice. (Way to go Mom!)

Tyler's New Smile

What a beautiful Smile!!!

Child #3

I have just been thinking a ton about Austin lately...I will never know what it is like to be a middle child and I will never understand what it is like to be the third child in a family of five boys. I think sometimes that his sweet, blue eyed, even tempered boy, get forgotten about!

Austin is so lovable--He likes to give me hugs and he comes to see me everyday at lunch time, just to give me a hug! His teacher thinks he is the greatest kid because he is so obedient and always doing what he is supposed to do. He is quick to learn new concepts and enjoys to learn. All these reasons and many other things makes him easy to love but also easy to be looked over. I never have to remind him to do his homework or struggle with him to learn to read.

I love my Austin and love being his Mom!

Go See This Movie!

Yesterday, a few girls from work and I went to see this movie. It is the best movie! I loved everything about it--the characters, the dialog, the music, the storyline--everything!!! I, like Oprah, would describe the movie as "Fresh". It is like nothing I have ever seen before and I would love to go to the movies and see it again. I even downloaded the music from I-tunes as soon as I got home.

All is well at our house. Everyone seems to be healthy. Thank goodness! Nothing else is too exciting at our home. Just the same ol, same ol. I guess no news, is good news.

FLU BUG!!!

It official--We have been bit by the FLU bug! Nathan and I both have the throw-ups! Funny story about Nathan: This morning he was sleeping in our bed and he threw up (That is not the funny part) and after we got him and the bed all cleaned up, Steve was teasing him and said "Nathan, Why did you throw up in my bed?" Nate quickly replied--"I threw up on the couch too!" Yes, he sure did.....On the couch, on the rocking chair, on the massage chair and on Austin blankets. He climbing into our bed and didn't say a word about it! Needless to say, Steve, didn't have fun cleaning it up. Nate and I have be sleeping and drinking 7 up all day. I guess Luke really was sick the other day :)

Fun Friday, Not Really!

I have been trying real hard to be a supportive wife of a husband that is going to paramedic school---but today I had a mini break down! This morning we got in the car, 15 minutes early-to say the least- and the key would not turn in the ignition. I played with it, hit it, yelled at it, and prayed about it but it still would not turn. The temp outside was about 20 degrees and the kids were driving me nuts because they were wrestling and playing around while I was freaking out! I called Steve and he was in St. George at a class, so I really dont know why I called him because he could do anything to help me other than remind me that he is gone way to much. I called my sweet and onry neighbor (both at the same time) and asked him if I could borrow their car. I was crying and totally freeking out--I am very embarrassed now. He, our neighbor, was very gracious and helped load the kids in the car, teased me a bit and handed me the keys. Off we went to school. I had stopped crying by the time I got there but as soon as someone asked me what was wrong, the crying started all over again! I made it through the day, the 100th day of school, came home and took a long nap. Now, I am sitting on my bed, blogging, and listening to Steve get after the boys to clean the house because I refuse to fight with them about it!!!!! Good thing that 1) tomorrow is Saturday 2) the key guy is comming to fix the durango 3) it is a three day weekend 4) Steve loves me, in-spite of my frequent break downs and 5) reruns of greys anatomy are on!!!

Steve's 35th Birthday!

Happy Birthday!! Steve was home for about 20 minutes today to quickly celebrate his birthday! The boys and I made him a cake and a nice dinner--Something that I usually do not ever do! If you notice on his hand he has a band-aid on it--Well that is because he was practicing in himself putting in IV's. If anyone is brave enough to donate a vein, he needs lots more practice.

Last night, about 2 am, I woke up to Luke throwing up on the kitchen floor. He said he was getting a drink and he threw up. Well, he has a great gag reflex and he often throws up if he gags even the slightest bit or if he has eaten too much junk food. So, I wasnt convinced he was sick. We woke up at 6 am for the start of the day and he was complaining he didnt feel well. But he was begging to go to school. I took his temp and it was 101.0 degrees. I called in for a sub and made my sub plans. We stayed home and rested the whole day. He seriously did not move from the couch the whole day. At about 5:30 something happened--All of a sudden he was all better. He was running around, eating, drinking and fighting with his brothers. And, he was begging to stay home from school tomorrow! I think he is all better

Just A Few Scrapbooks Pages!

I didn't take any pictures this week but I did do a few scrapbook pages. We are settling into the school days routine. Steve started back to paramedic school last week. His schedule gets busier and busier each week. This upcoming week he will be gone each day, all day, and each evening until 10 p.m. The only nights he will be home are Friday and Saturday evening after 6 p.m. I feel bad for him because he misses so much of the family happenings. The boys are starting a new behavior incentive program this week. They each will be 20 quarters at the beginning of the week and the goal is to have all twenty at the end of the week so that Dad can take them to Walmart to buy something. Of course, they will have to pay me or dad if they choose not to obey, if they fight or argue with mom. I hope it works! We took the kids to see National Treasure 2 on Saturday. I would recommend it to everyone. I loved it! The boys seemed to enjoy it but Nathan fell asleep about 5 minutes into the movie.

Luke Lost His First Tooth!!

Well, another milestone, come and gone! (Can you tell I am sad that my boys are growing up?) Luke lost his first tooth today. It has been loose for a few days and this morning he was cleaning up his room, yea right, he pulled his glove off with his teeth and he came out. Only problem is that we can't find the tooth. He said he thinks he swollowed it. We wrote a note to the tooth fairy stating the situation so he hopes that she will still visit tonight. By the way, he wants a twenty dollar bill! Nice try, Luke.
