Easter 2012

Our school district is kinda awesome (just when it comes to scheduling holiday vacations).  We had spring break in March and this weekend we had an Easter Break.  This is the awesome part- we get Friday and Monday off of school.  I love that.  I love that we get one more day to rest and clean up from an awesome holiday.

My mom stayed with us for the whole vacation.  We spent two days shopping and running errands.  Day one of shopping was a BUST.  Seriously, how could this happen to us.  But, we did get our costco shopping done.

Saturday morning Steve, the boys and I went to a Christian Family gathering.  Its always fun to see Steve's Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.  Even though most of them live in St. George we hardly ever see them. Kinda sad.

Tyler--Do you see the green bandage on his finger?  He sliced his finger open and had four stitches.  Do you remember last Easter weekend?  He sliced his finger tip off?

Austin- Our serious kid.  But lately hormones have gotten the best of him and  he is an emotional mess.

Luke--Enough said/shown

Grandma VerDon

Nate-He told us that these two kids are his kids.  Boy and girl.

Austin won the contest for the most colorful egg.  We really didnt have a contest but his was my Favorite.

Easter morning is just as exciting as Christmas morning.  The boys each got  new  swim suits and a t-shirt.  Also, also tooth brushes, tooth paste, deodorant, darth vader bunnies, gum and candy.
We also gave them a little handbook that reminds them of the values and standards that Steve and I encourage them to ad hear to.  Its called For the Strength of Youth.  We also gave them this.  I love the visual reminder of the steps it takes to go on an LDS mission.  It is a path and they will not automatically, at the age of 19, go on and LDS mission.  They must be preparing themselves right now.

Just a few of my holiday decorations.

I am in absolute and total love with my new Easter Dress.  Isn't is so cute.  I  texted a picture of it to my momma. This is how the conversation when:
Me: Look at the Cutest dress in the Coldwater Creek catalog.
Mom:  That is too cute. I have a coupon at Coldwater.  I will buy it for you.
Me:  Ok, thanks momma!!!

I have the best mom. She even bought me new shoes to go with the ensemble. They have a heel.  I know, I cant believe it either.  Its a shame that you cant see my DARLING new sunglasses.  They are purple and I love them.
Happy Easter Everyone!  I am grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ.  I can not even comprehend the extent of his love for me.  But I do know that he gave his life for me and you.  He lives!

I love your Easter post! I hope this isn't going to become a tradition with Tyler and his fingers, haha.
