Tikki Tikki Tembo

This is my cute 2nd graders right before we performed our production of "Tikki Tikki Tembo" Do you remember that story? I have vivid memories of my first grade teacher, Miss. Murphy, reading this story to me. remember yet? The boy falls in the well....but his name is so long that his brother cant get it out right....finally he gets it all out and he is pulled out of the well. Its a cute story. My class performed a musical rendition of this story. They did AWESOME!! I was so proud of them. I love doing a musical each year. I hope that THIS is what they remember when they think of Second Grade. I hope they wont remember all the times I made them erase their handwriting because I couldn't read it or the times I made them sit with their heads down because they were too noisy in the library or the times I had them walk in the hall over and over again because they forgot to stop talking or the extremely difficult tests we had to take on the computer every six weeks and if they didn't pass I would make them do it again. I could go on and on! I hope they remember the feeling they got when the audience giggled in all the right places and applauded at the end. I hope they remember the joy they felt when they sang all the right lyrics and said the correct lines at all the right times! I hope they always remember that their Second grade teacher was PROUD of them!
