Three Days before spring break started I started to feel like I might possibly have one of these--
Don't be fooled...it is not a precious stone! My spring break did not look like it would be very much fun! The DR informed me, at my trip to the insta care, that I was "a week early" for my annual visit for kidney pain. Thankfully he loaded me up with pain killers, instructed me to drink enough water to fill up a pool and sent me home to pass this ugly thing.
To help her---
BUT, she found "The One" a few weeks before and that changed the initial plan for my vacation.
(By the way---Ohio-Addie-Wedding Dress)
The kids and I decided to go to Las Vegas for a few days while Steve worked. The first evening we were there we got all dressed up! Really dressed up...The kids wore ties and I wore HIGH
heel shoes.
OH it was SOOOO AMAZING. I was in awe for the whole production. Really! The costumes and stage and singing and....EVERYTHING was SPECTACULAR.
The next day Nate sat me down for a heart to heart and wanted to know if "The Dad really did die?" and "How did Simba grow up so fast?"
Of course, the next day we (GG Brown, Mom, Tyler (the bag boy) and I went on a marathon shopping trip.
The kids and I headed home so that Steve and I could celebrate this day---
Our 17th wedding anniversary!
We spent the day together doing some of his ;) favorite things and going to eat at my favortie place and eventually we ended up at the LDS St. George temple. I wanted us remember what it was really like on our wedding day. Seventeen years ago we were "Sealed" for "Time and All Eternity" in the Las Vegas Temple. I cannot remember much about the actual "Sealing" so, I wanted to go back to the temple to do Sealing Ordinances for those who were not able to have that ordinance done while they were on earth. By doing this, we were able to physically remember what it took place the day we were married.
The next day we headed to Bountiful, Utah to purchase this....
And, the closing event of our spring break was driving the new car to Zion National Park for a Sunday evening drive. I'm telling you...I was the quietest drive to Zion we have ever had...thanks to the DVD player. Steve and I listened to the radio (the radio in the Durango has not worked for years) and enjoyed the beauty of the area.
All in all, it was a fabulous spring break! So fabulous that this morning when my alarm went off, I had NO idea why. It took me a good while to realize that it was actually my alarm and it was actually supposed to be waking me up for my 7:30 meeting.

Rachelle, I LOVE this post! Congrats on your anniversary, what a great way to celebrate it.
I have never really had an inkling to want to go to The Lion King, but now I do. It's funny that Nate asked about what happened in the movie. I don't think Brielle has ever seen it. And even though you didn't go on your trip, looks like you had an amazing spring break.
This was a SUPERB post!! I LOVED IT!! I wanted there to be more bc you just kept me going. I'm sad we didn't get to have our visit though. But you are beautiful and congrats on the 17 year thing!! I can't believe you've been married that long. I can't believe I'm old enough to remember you getting married 17 years ago! Tyler's next! muah ha ha ha
So I left you a couple of messages and forgot to type in the code letters so neither of them saved, I don't think anyway. I loved your post especially the photo of the kidney stone, your wedding pic and the excited look on your boys faces at the Lion King! I'm sure they had more fun then they look like they are having! I also love the color of your new car! Beautiful!
