Last week Hurricane fire had a big structure fire just right down the street from us. Steve was off duty that day but could not pass up a real fire. He was tending Nate while the boys and I were at school. Steve quickly asked the Neighbor to watch Nate while he went to save the day BUT he forgot that he had a birthday cake for Luke baking in the oven. Luckily Tyler got home from school about 50mins later but found the oven beeping and the cake black! That would have made a great headline....Hurricane Fire Fighter looses his home while he was down the street putting out a fire at another residence.

That would have been the best headline!! But not good. The thought is funny though, so glad that didn't happen. ;)
This is going down as one of my all time favorite stories. hahahaha
