Mothers Day

We went to Las Vegas on Saturday to spend Mothers Day with my moms family. Steve was a good sport and stayed at my moms house and was the fix it man while we went to lunch and a movie. We ate at a wonderful burger joint. We each had a HUGE hamburger and chocolate shakes. Then we went to see Ghost of Girlfriends Past. It was a way cute chick flick.

The boys each made me something for mothers day. Nate made the cutest video of himself at preschool. I still cant believe he is going to kindergarten next year. Luke wrote his own autobiography. Austin made be a coupon book and Tyler gave me a nice note. I love my boys!! I love being their mom. Sometimes I just want to run away because they are loud and crazy and dirty but I am sad when they are gone for too long. I feel honored to have been chosen to be their teacher through out this life. I hope when the day comes Heavenly Father will say, "Well done. My good and faithful servant."

Sounds like a wonderful mothers day! I'll blame this on my pregnancy, but when I read the words "huge chocolate shake" I immediately started searching my mind as to whether I had vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup in the kitchen. Unfortunately, I had neither! I owe myself a chocolate shake now. ;-)
I know what you mean about missing your boys when they are gone too long. I will go days or weeks looking forward to whatever little mommy break I have coming up, but then once I have it I miss the kiddo so much it's hard to enjoy! They really have us wrapped around their fingers!
