What A Week!

It has been such a crazy, emotional, fun, exciting and tiring week. All wrapped into one! We have had two huge events happen this week. One being, my Grandpa's Funeral and two being, Steve's Mom and Dad coming home from their mission.

One fun thing that I got to do this week was meeting my two new second cousins. I kinda like to think that maybe I am more than just a second cousin because I only have 5 cousins on my mom's side of the family and we spent a ton of time together growing up. This is Melinda, Amanda and her baby Bentley, and me. We all have commented on how much we learned at my Grandpa's funeral that we didn't know about him when he was alive. I hope that all of us have learned that life is too short and families are what it is really all about. I am sure that they all agree that we need to do more to get to know each other and individuals rather than just a cousins.

I love this picture of my mom and Nathan. It is at the burial services. That is my Great Aunt Meb in the Background. I hate to think of the day that I have to be in her shoes--at a funeral for one of my parents.

I love my Aunt Lynne! She has always shown such love and concern for me and my family. My favorite is when she stops by my house unexpectedly and just comes to see how we are.

As we walked into the funeral home on Thursday morning the light was shining so beautifully on this bronze statue. I LOVE this statue and all that it represents!
Oops, I almost for got that I did get to meet my new Nephew, Moe. He is Kim's baby. I can not believe what a cute, happy baby he is! He is Grandchild #24 for Clark and Laurel.

And the final event of the weekend......Grandma and Grandpa Christian came home from their mission in Germany! As we were all waiting at the Diamond Valley house we were commenting how having the whole family waiting together for an exciting event was like waiting around for Santa to come. It was fun hanging out with Steve's brothers and sisters and their kids. We spent the day together at the Sand Dunes and barbecuing at the Compound. Finally at 10:30 we went to the airport and greeted our Missionaries! They looked so tired but glad to be home.

We are grateful for them and their great example that they are to us. I will always be forever grateful to them for raising such a great, hardworking and loving son and father! Welcome Home!

(OK, that post took way too long to generate and post.)

(p.s. I can not figure out why in the heck there are double spaces between some of my lines and why my pictures wont stay where I put them!)

I love that picture of the 3 of us. I don't think we've ever taken one together like that! The funeral was awesome!!! I feel like it was the perfect ending for his life!

You have been a busy girl! Can you believe how much more busy your life will get when you have boys on missions, married, grandkids, etc etc. That is what is fun about having a lot of kids. I hope to get a set of multiples sometime, because I hate being prego but i want a lot of kids. Nothing yet, I keep feeling little pains here or there, trying to time them, hoping for them to be contractions, but they don't last long, and aren't consistant. Dang it. I have a feeling it will come this weekend. My ultimate guess clear from the beginning was saturday the 26th, so we'll see. Hope all is well at school. Keep me updated!
I am so happy all your family events went well. My dad said he would like to go on a date with your mom. What would your mom say??
