Tuesday Tell All--Something Made By Hand

"This week we are giving you the chance to document something(s) in your home that are special because they were hand made.
Inspire us with your children's artwork, the quilt your Grandmother made or a craft you just finished....the possibilities are endless."

This was a hard one for me because I am not crafty! I do enjoy to scrapbook and I have 25 full binders. I started scrapbooking when Tyler was born- almost 12 years ago. But our greatest hand made accomplishment was our addition to our house. We lived in a 1200 square foot house with 7 of us. We were always on top of each other and the only place to have total privacy was in the bathroom! So, we added about 1o00 more square feet to our house. We truely made it by hand! With the help of Steve's Dad and a few extra helpers!

We added about 750 square feet out the back and about
300 square feet on the side.



This the little boys room and Grandmas room. We also
have a bathroom and sitting room for her! I use it more than
she does because it is always clean and very quiet!

This is a view of our family room. When we started this
was all I really wanted because it would give us a place
to spread out! We also have a storage room and another
full bath. From start to finish it took us 4 months and 70
thousand dollars. The whole addition can run on solar
power and even has a solar swamp cooler! My husband is
so talented!
